Absolute Proof of Media Bias
Timothy Birdnow
In an election that has been nationalized since control of both chambers of Congress are up for grabs and whoever controls Congress will make or break the Administration's policies, we are treated to the most biased coverage by the media imaginable.
While we would expect nothing less it is still pretty staggering in it's bias scope.
FTA:
KEY FINDINGS:
Ruin for Republicans, Hope for Democrats: From September 1 to September 30, the GOP received 94% negative spin vs. 6% positive spin. The Democrats received far more balanced coverage, 53% negative, 47% positive. The Republicans drew 102 negative evaluations compared to just six positive statements. The Democrats received only 15 percent of the comments -- 10 were negative, nine were positive. With far fewer evaluations, the Democrats still drew more positive statements, nine to six. This doesn't include purely "horse race" or objective polling analysis of Trump or Republican candidates, which was almost completely negative.
Cross-Partisan Pattern: PBS reveled in news of Republicans crossing Trump, either through disagreement or through endorsing Democrats. They touted when "lifelong Republican" politicians endorsed Democrats, or when they made ads criticizing Trump policies as going too far.
Criticism of Trump on mail-in balloting dominated political coverage, with nearly half an hour of negative coverage. PBS was overtly hostile to the Trump administration's efforts to prevent illegal aliens from voting by mail.
Bias by Omission: PBS ignored increasing Democratic ideological radicalism, such as the rise of the Democratic Socialists of America. "Public" broadcasting has proven itself incapable of finding anyone or anything extreme on the Left.
While this is par for the course with the corporate media, it is still astonishing how brazen it is.
BTW I would like to point out PBS is still out there and abusing Conservatives. You may remember it was defunded by the President. For decades it received government funding to insult us and we were told defunding it would cause it to go out of business, yet here we are. Oh wait; a Federal judge struck down Trump's defunding and restored OUR TAX DOLLARS to the vile institution known as the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. And the Republican controlled Congress did nothing about it.
We are funding our own destruction.
I just heard a plug for NBC News, saying they give "just the facts -unbiased reporting" I hope you didn't have any coffee in your mouth when you read that.
Yes, cable covered the stories, especially Fox. But ABC, CBS, and NBC did not mentioin it one single solitary time.
The tail has been wagging the dog for a hundred years or better now and it's past time for that to stop. The new technology makes it possible to get the truth out to the public. Sadly too many people still get their news from corporate media or from their smart phones, where they get the radical leftist stuff like Yahoo News.
This is disgraceful and we must find a way to hurt these propaganda organs in some way. The best way is to not watch them and to boycott their sponsors. I'm for that.

USAID in America
Timothy Birdnow
Does anyone doubt it? I've known for years the Democrats were laundering taxpayer dollars to themselves and their fellow travelers.
Christopher Rufo on X:
"We have a domestic USAID sending hundreds of billions of dollars to universities, labor unions, activists, and NGOs, that are running the same kind of propaganda we saw in Latin America here in the United States.”"
@christopherrufo
Christopher Rufo
@christopherrufo
"We have a domestic USAID sending hundreds of billions of dollars to universities, labor unions, activists, and NGOs, that are running the same kind of propaganda we saw in Latin America here in the United States.”
And while Trump eliminated USAID there are still plenty of leftists in the bureaucracy funding what USAID did to Brazil and other countries right here at home. We MUST shut down the money flow from taxpayers.
Here in Missouri we have two propositions on the ballot. One would both eliminate transing of children and restrict abortion. The other would forbid the legislature from overriding the results of any referendum, no matter how twisted the language of the bill or how confused the voters were by it. I am seeing commercials on television about this and it's all from the Left - against the abortion amendment and for the popular referendum. I have seen ZERO commercials the other way. Zip. Nada.
So somebody with deep, deep pockets is funding these campaigns, while the conservative side has little to fight with. I suspect these two ballot proposals will pass because the public won't understand the issue or what's at stake.
Who is funding this? I suspect we have money laundered from our own government involved in this.
Only the Left is so bold as to steal taxpayer money to fund things that screw the taxpayer.
I hope Trump has a plan in place to deal with this. It's far more important we get our own house in order than fix other nations.

We Want Real Food!
Timothy Birdnow
I'm sure it's caused by Global Warming and Donald Trump.
It was caused by the Green Revolution. The Green Revolution was a program to create more productive clones and hybrids to increase food production back in the '70's when overpopulation was the big fear and they said there would be mass starvation by the year 2000.
Norman Ernest Borlaug was a biologist who came up with that plan, and in fact the world owes him a debt of gratitude because he DID save a lot of lives in the Third World with his modified crops. But these crops, while having greater yield,, had less flavor and fewer nutrients. That is why food doesn't taste the same as it did when we were young (at least us older guys who lived before the seventies.) It's hard to find heirloom seeds these days; all commercial farming is with these clones and hybrids. Now it's genetically modified - GMO's. Those are particularly onerous as they usually are sterile crops, forcing farmers to go back to the manufacturer - usually Monsanto.
At any rate I am not surprise the food is less nutritious.
FTA:
A new study out of the UK found that the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables has dropped like a lead balloon over the past several decades, with some crops losing 50 percent of key nutrients.
Frankenfood is just that and as the population tumbles we will need less of it. Time for a restoration of good old American food, grown in soil and tasting like it used to. We want beef, we want real beer, and we want our vegetables and fruit to taste like something a real man would eat.

This story is only true to countries that have to import the majority of their fruits and vegs, like the UK. A quick online search has many stories of how fast fruits and vegs lose their nutritional value when stored. When you have to import these from lands far away the storage time can be weeks if not months before the produce hits the store shelf. It may look fresh but looks can be deceiving. Best bet is to buy canned goods if the cannery is close to the place their grown because canned goods hold their nutritional value. Canneries would rather store canned goods over fresh due to the cost of storage. Here in the states best bet is grow your own or a farmers market, pressure cooker and mason jars. I remember my mom in the summer putting up hundreds of jars of fruits and vegs

Yes Mike, that is true enough. Long storage leads to a decline in nutritional value. We see that here in America with stuff imported from outside (like South American fruit). By the time you get an apple in August you are eating something that has been sitting around for months, even if it comes from South America. More likely it will be kept under environment control and controlled apples are tasteless and of dubious nutritional value.

Is AI a Bubble
Timothy Birdnow
Is AI a bubble? At least one billionaire
thinks so.
I think so too, but I've been wrong about high tech a number of times.
Ray Dalio, the founder of Bridgewater Associates, warns this is starting to look like a classic bubble with so many corporations pouring vast sums of money into AI.
As Dalio points out, the vast expansion is being financed by debt. So this thing is blowing up like a balloon.
If AI crashes and burns it will hurt the U.S. Economy, but what will it do to China? They put all their chips on it.
This whole business about regulating AI and keeping data centers out of our neighborhoods may be moot.

Europe's Version of Lady Liberty
Timothy Birdnow
Tariffs anyone?
This is not just busting on Trump, it is an insult to every American who voted for Trump and in fact is an insult to the Europeans who want to roll back the internationalist crap being forced on them.
The statue put up in the halls of Parliament in Brussels depicts a naked Donald Trump, and his body does not look too good, holding a golf club as a scepter and a scale of justice.
The creator is a leftist from Denmark, who is handing out three D photos of the statue all over the world.
That Europe would put this up and insult our nation in this way is reprehensible and needs to be punished. Tariffs maybe. We could also think about leaving NATO, a worthless institution. Maybe Trump can commission a similar statue of Ursula von der Leyen, who basically is the Grand Poobah of the E.U. and display it outside the entrance to the White House.
As the Euroweenies said, Trump should have thicker skin. Why? This wasn't just a private statue on private property but displayed by the European Union itself, meaning they endorse it. If you endorse an insult to America you deserve to take it in the shorts from us. Presidents in the past would have just shrugged it off, but there is a new sheriff in town.
I hope Trump has a good response. We should pull our military out of Europe and close our bases, which are a big source of income for the host countries. We've been protecting them for decades and making their economies rich in the process. Time to take the training wheels off.
I would add this sort of passive-aggressive behavior is exactly what a weak and childish nation would indulge in and shows deep down they know they are our inferiors.
The United States has Lady Liberty welcoming people to New York City, perhaps our greatest metropolis. What does Europe have now? A small statue mocking Donald Trump. Speaks volumes.

Let Them Eat Cake
Timothy Birdnow
I thought liberalism was all about compassion.
See, they don't like it that a private organization is doing it and not the government.
The pastor was shut down for being in violation of minor local codes (like hogging up sidewalk space with people waiting for food).
The Left hates private initiative and they hate Christian initiative. If there is no political benefit to them they will let folks go hungry.

Where's Waldorico?
Timothy Birdnow
James Talarico has
disappeared from view - 11 days now. His opponent, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, asks the question:
Attorney General Ken Paxton
@KenPaxtonTX
Where are they hiding that little socialist?
@jamestalarico
Then at a rally alongside President Trump Paxton had the crowd chanting "Where is James Talarico" over and over.
The media has been strangely silent on the matter.
'Rico told a group of Hispanic businessmen via skype that
he had the flu.
FTA:
Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico stepped off the campaign trail following a flu diagnosis as his GOP opponent, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, launches new attack ads focusing on the Democrat’s absence.
Talarico disclosed his illness at a U.S. Hispanic Business Council forum which he joined virtually, saying, "I was ready to eat my favorite quesadilla tacos, but I was starting to feel kind of under the weather a few days ago, and last night it got so bad that I went to the urgent care here in Dallas.”
The pandering gave ME flu-like symptoms as I almost hurled after reading it. But the point is if he was able to skype these Hispanics why didn't he skype some others? Wouldn't a man who really, really wanted to be the next U.S. Senator from Texas still find a way to campaign? It could be done without infecting the public - he showed he knows how. But he not only didn't do it he didn't tell anyone either. That is just bizarre given how tight this race has become.
If he was too sick to even be out of bed (which is what the real flu does to you) his campaign could at least have told the public. So right here we have evidence the man will not level with the public, will not tell them the truth.
What is really going on? I suspect there is much more to this story.
At any rate, this is sort of like Where's Waldo; he's hiding out there somewhere. The goal is to find him lurking among the crowd.
This is just bizarre behavior for a man running in a neck and neck race just weeks before the election.
Could
this have something to do with it?

Ours to Lose
Timothy Birdnow
Why China should stop building a strong navy.
Right now America protects the coastal regions of the world and it costs China nothing. Building a strong navy means China will wind up carrying the burden of protecting coastal waters in the Pacific Rim and that will cost them a lot of money.
I would like to add that it was Kaiser Wilhelm's insistence on building a navy that could compete with the British fleet that ultimately led to WWI and wrecked everything for everyone. Germany was humiliated and its government dismantled. But it was true that all of Europe suffered.
China is now trying to do exactly what Germany did; build a navy to compete with America and allow it to project power around the globe. Naturally America is not going to simply roll over and allow this; at least for now we have Trump and he will compete with them. If America decides to compete we win.
China would be wiser to concentrate on an infantry; they've got enough people. Maybe a submarine fleet. And of course air power. But to try to compete with the U.S. on the water itself makes no sense. The only reason the U.S. does it is to give us mobile bases and to be there to fight piracy or localized operations on the coast. Otherwise we wouldn't even need ships since air power and particularly the coming of drone technology makes it almost obsolete.
From the article:
"China Wants to Challenge Us for Control of the Oceans
A new shipyard in Qingdao is now operational. Groundbreaking on the Weichai’s yacht base started in February 2022, and the final pontoon berths were finished this year. Dubbed by some as "Beijing’s Trojan Yacht,” the new base will boost their shipbuilding capacity. Weichai is wholly owned by Shandong Heavy Industry Group, which answers to China’s State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration (SASAC), the Chinese state-owned asset management commission.
The base is a co-venture with Italian shipbuilding company Ferretti, which is now 40 percent owned by the Chinese. Though that doesn’t make them majority shareholders, it was enough to seize eight of the nine board seats in May.
Now the term "yacht” implies simple leisure craft, but the goal of this base is to start churning out military vessels. Even before that happens, China’s corporate espionage means that they will have access to every connected Ferretti vessel — its engine telemetry, satellite communications traffic, and other user data.
Now that may not seem like such a big deal — all that data is nothing compared to what Meta and Google know about us. But under China’s National Intelligence Law, any Chinese company must hand over the data it holds to Chinese state intelligence on demand."
Since the Cold War days power has not been through guns and ships but through economic power and China seemed to understand that at one time. Japan, with no military at all, was very influential until they adopted Keynsian economics and ruined their roaring economy (built on market principles). And of course the E.U. wields some serious lumber thanks to its economic power (waning, for sure).
But China wants to displace America as the world leader and to do that they figure they need the same level of weaponry. What they fail to understand is their economy is not capable of creating the kind of wealth needed to build so massive and expensive an arsenal. Work smart and not hard seems to have been forgotten by them.
I've long believed China was a paper tiger economically and I further believe that elites in the West wanted them to act as a counterbalance to American hegemony. I remember when Czech born Secretary of State Madeleine Albright admitted as much; she said it wasn't good the Soviet Union fell because the world needed a counterbalance to America. A SECRETARY OF STATE in America said we needed a counterbalance! It was then the big push began to promote China to American businesses and we began giving them special trade privileges and the like. Even Newt Gingrich got on-board, arguing economic engagement with China would convert them to a free market system. He later admitted he was dead wrong.
China is only a great power because we made them so.
And while they eschewed Communism (as did Russia under Lenin for a time with his New Economic Program in the twenties) they embraced a fascistic style of "capitalism" where the government controls all economic activity and party members own the companies. Such a system can work in the short term but ultimately it will wring the economy dry.
We've been seeing that now as the Chinese economy is struggling on multiple fronts. But instead of reducing spending and concentrating of trade and economic growth they are plotting to build warships.
This is why we are in one of the most dangerous times in human history. The Chinese have said this will be their century. If they see that slipping away they may well launch a war to increase national spirit. They are not going to go quietly into that good night.
Neither are their allies, the Russians. Neither are the Mullahs of Iran.
This new access is an existential threat to us, in part from direct military challenges but more in terms of asymmetric warfare and dirty tricksterism (like hacking the web). I doubt China would be crazy enough to challenge us directly but they could well attack us in other ways and in fact have already done so. We know a LOT of illegal aliens were Chinese, for instance, and they now have an army of American-born Chinamen who can come here freely and move about the country because they have birthright citizenship. We know the Chicoms have bought land by airports and military bases. We know they have floated spy balloons over the country and our military bases. We suspect they have hacked our systems repeatedly. THEY have even said war with the United States is inevitable.
We need to fight them. But not with guns and bombs; that is so last century. This is a very different fight and President Trump understands that. We now have Spaceforce, for instance. And Trump wants to build a new agency to deal with AI.
This Chinese Cold War is ours to lose. Sadly, if the Democrats take power or the internationalists retake the GOP, we will.

You could be right, Mike.
The period pre-WWI was unique in that three heads of state were all cousins. Britain's King Edward, Kaiser Wilhelm and the Czar of Russia were all grandsons of Queen Victoria. Wilhelm always felt inferior to the others and felt that if he could build a fleet equal to England's he might gain the respect of his cousin. His idea was that he'd build the fleet, sail it to England, he and King Edward would parade their fleets in review, then all go in and have a sumptuous feast with plenty of drinking. He had no knowledge of just how vital sea power was to England because of their dependence on it for commerce, and what a threat his fleet would be seen by England as a result.

Mike, I think you are right; it's what all Communist countries wind up with in the end. Command economies always end with shoddy stuff and this Chinese fleet may well wind up being no better than fishing boats.
That is true Dana. Britain had a two to one policy, which said that it had to have a navy twice as large as it's biggest competitor. When the Kaiser started building a navy he started an arms race with the British, which pissed off Parliament to no end. They had to keep building and Germany kept building and tensions rose because of it.
The Kaiser never even used his beautiful new fleet in battle except one time - at Jutland, where it came out, fought the British for a time, then retreated back to harbor. That lovely new fleet was never really tested because, as you point out, it was more a vanity project than a serious military effort.

The Kaiser's fleet was used more than as Jutland. But it was not used as a combined fleet except at Jutland, so what you say is semi-correct. Overall, the German expertise at sea was not quite up to that of the British, although their ships were every bit as good and some of their newer ones were superior.
At Jutland the weather was very poor, and the German fleet managed to escape the British fleet because of the weather, after sinking more ships than the British did.

Welcome AT Readers
Timothy Birdnow
Welcome American Thinker readers!
The good folks running American Thinker have kindly run my essay on how America took over insuring cargo vessels and how this is opening a whole new era for us as the successors to the British. See it
here.
Thanks to Mike for tipping me off about the big rise in insurance costs for oil tankers, which sparked the essay.
Thanks to J.R. Dunn for not only running it but giving it first position!
Any readers of AT who visit here, I do a lot of different things and, while most of my old contributors are no longer here, I still maintain this blog mostly as a daily. I like to think at least some of what I post are stories that fly under the radar, and I always put in my two cents.
Please look around and enjoy!

Cutting Off USAID for Kenyan Prostitutes a "Kill Switch"
Timothy Birdnow
The media is desperate to get funding restored to USAID. USAID funded Bolshevism around the globe and we see how it's flipping the script on elections in Latin America as we speak. The Left desperately wants America back in the funding business.
Apparently 24 Kenyan prostitutes died after USAID was cut off. Naturally the media attributes all of these deaths to that SOB Donald J. Trump for not giving American tax dollars to subsidize Kenyan prostitutes healthcare.
Uh, shouldn't Kenya do that?
FTA:
Which again, begs the question of why American tax dollars are the only thing standing between African prostitutes and death.
More about Judy:
Judy stopped taking her medication, despite the risks, and her immune system collapsed.
'She had sores... Her skin was so rough,' said Diana. AFP is only giving first names of sex workers to protect their identities.
Judy is one of three HIV-positive sex workers from Mathare confirmed dead in recent months after stopping their treatment, according to BHESP. Several others have died in similar circumstances in the neighbouring slums, Diana said.
'The stop-work order from the US administration, for us, is a kill order,' said Daisy Kwala, programmes director for BHESP.
It didn't say Judy ran out of medicine but that she STOPPED TAKING IT. Now why do you suppose that is?
Kenya finds prostitution unacceptable so won't fund the industry. Maybe Bill Gates can step in? Actually they kicked him out of much of Africa because they believed he was putting contraceptives in the vaccines he was giving out.
So making sure sex workers have condoms and drugs for when they get sick is somehow the business of the American government. I am sorry for this woman, sorry she had to earn a living in a very unhealthy way, and I would gladly donate money to a charity that helps with that. But it is not the role of the United States government to promote prostitute health in Third World countries.

Agreed Dana. If we want to truly help her we'd be using resources to get her a day job. But even that is not the responsibility of the American taxpayer. These things are a role for others.
They sold these kinds of programs during the Cold War as a way to keep people from supporting the Communists. But they are programs long antiquated. Now they are just wasting taxpayer money.

The Truth About the Greenlandic Ice Collapse
Timothy Birdnow
How they are lying about the Greenland ice breakup.
Turns out this massive chunk of ice that broke off of the Petermann glacier was in fact only one third of the ice that has grown in the last FEW YEARS. Petermann has been gaining ice, not losing it, for some time.
That's what happens when glaciers grow too large; they collapse. Its like a fingernail growing too long - it eventually breaks off.
This glacier has been growing since 2012. And in fact Greenland has been gaining ice this year - five hundred billion tons of it.
But the media and AI are still claiming Greenland is losing ice and that this shows global warming is melting the Greenland ice sheet away. Nothing could be further from the truth.
If the science is on their side, if the truth is on their side, why do they have to lie?

Little Sodom on the Prairie
Timothy Birdnow
Belleville Illinois is a community across the Mississippi River from St. Louis. It used to be a largely conservative place, although it did suffer from the problems associated with labor unions who represented a lot of the people there. So often there were votes for Democrats coming from Belleville, but it was still a fairly conservative small c place.
The city now hosts an LGBTQ celebration featuring:
" drag and aerial arts performances, food vendors and local bands"
And the article further states:
"Out in STL Magazine listed the Old Belleville Historic District the best community for LGBTQ families in the St. Louis region last year. The magazine called the city a "rare refuge” near St. Louis for queer and transgender residents."
What is interesting about this is that all of this has happened since the Federal Government sued the city years ago over not having enough black people or encouraging them to move to Belleville. They complied and have since complied with the newest "civil rights" promotion - gay and trans.
This is how the Federal Government can destroy a community.
Belleville sits near East St. Louis, perhaps the worst, most impoverished hell-hole in America and the citizens of Belleville had sought to minimize the number of East St. Louis residents who wanted to move there. That's what got them in hot water.
So I suppose they invited homosexuals and the rest to immigrate to the city instead.
I would add that James Hodgkinson, the man who shot the Republican Congressmen while they were practicing for a baseball game, was a Belleville resident, so they were never THAT conservative. But this will eventually destroy any hope the city has of retaining a family oriented community.
This is how Democrats destroy communities. Belleville is now Sodom on the prairie.

Fear of weaponized plague is a handy way to guarantee no international forces want to invade Russia.

Thomas: What Prevents You from Suing Gas Stations?
Timothy Birdnow
Clarence Thomas makes an obvious point:
Tom Elliott on X:
"Clarence Thomas just exposed Boulder's plaintiff prosecuting its Suncor Energy case. (Boulder wants to sue energy companies for their ostensible impact on the climate.) Thomas got Boulder's attorney to admit that if he prevails, they could just as easily sue local gas stations. Justice Thomas: "If you prevail, is there a limiting principle to whom you can suit?" Kevin Russell: "There are a number. There are constitutional limitations ... The question here is not whether anything in the Constitution prohibits this lawsuit but whether specific theories they raised in the Colorado Supreme Court past are valid." Thomas: "So you could just as easily sue large retailers of these products?" Kevin Russell: "Nothing in the Constitution prevents that." Thomas: "But nothing in our theory prevents that?" Russell: "Nothing in our theory prevents that. In terms of when lots of people act together to cause widespread harm, there can be multiple defendants liable.""

Kevin Russell: "There are a number. There are constitutional limitations ... The question here is not whether anything in the Constitution prohibits this lawsuit but whether specific theories they raised in the Colorado Supreme Court past are valid."
Thomas: "So you could just as easily sue large retailers of these products?"
Kevin Russell: "Nothing in the Constitution prevents that."
Thomas: "But nothing in our theory prevents that?"
Russell: "Nothing in our theory prevents that. In terms of when lots of people act together to cause widespread harm, there can be multiple defendants liable."

After Years of Neglect Dems are SHOCKED Their Water Supplies in California are Running Low
Timothy Birdnow
The Golden State is more brown these days.
Lakes Mead and Powell are both drying up faster than Kamala Harris and while the state may officially blame "climate change" the fact remains they've been pulling a lot of water out of both and the State refuses to store any water lest some bait fish suffer. California goes through periodic droughts and it is no surprise that another has come The surprise is that the authorities are surprised. They made no plans to avoid this.
Governor Gavin Newsom was quite pleased with himself that he and his cohorts just completed
the largest dam removal project in history. No mentio of this in the article on lakes Powell and Mead.
The Colorado river basin isn't the only one where California has removed dams and dried up the country; the Klamath river basin in northern California saw several dams - hydro-electric dams - removed, meaning there is less available water in the region but also less electricity generated in a state already starved for power.
California wants a state of nature to return and this is what that looks like. No dams, no water and no power.
The only bright spot in this is that many people are leaving so they need less water and power. Now THAT is good old California values!

America Goes to Pot
Timothy Birdnow
Pot doesn't just mellow you out.
Most potheads I know are always touchy and get angry easily. I'm not at all surprised by this result.
And here we went around legalizing it over the last ten years.

The Legend of Frank
(I'm trying something a little different. I am writing a spoof story series, something I could see as a comic in the paper or in a comic book, and I thought I'd share it here. If nobody likes it I won't write any more but I thought it was pretty funny. I've got a few ideas of how to make this thing last a while.)
The Legend of Frankenhero
By Timothy Birdnow
Chapter One
The Genesis of a Supoerhero
It all began on a dark and stormy night in the backwoods of the Missouri Ozarks, but it actually began well before that. Our story really started with a former meat cutter named Franklyn Foch (with a chuh sound) who grew up in the Black Forest of Germany and then snuck into the United States from Mexico, riding with a Coyote among a bunch of Mexican migrants. Foch had reason to sneak in as his war record was, uh, problematic.

America Now Owns the World
Timothy Birdnow
Pedro Sanchez, Spain's prime minister, has just
called a snap election as a result of the collapse of confidence in his administration as a result of the invasion of his country by illegal aliens and other mishaps as a result of his woke socialist policies.
From the European Business article:
On Monday, 5 October, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez called an early general election for 29 November. The move comes after Spain’s fragmented parliament rejected his government’s key housing measures last week, amid protests across the country. "We need to renew people’s support,” Sánchez said in a televised address, saying he wanted a much larger progressive majority to overcome vested interests. It is a big gamble. His Socialist Party is trailing in the polls, and those polls point to a conservative People’s Party government relying on the far-right Vox.
end
Which means the leftist party will probably cheat. They have to.
This article, which keeps speaking about a possible "far right government" never once mentions the Muslim invasion of Ceuta or of European Spain by Muslims. No mention of that at all.
The primary reason they claim the Spanish are dissatisfied is rising housing costs. Of course those housing costs have been rising because they have allowed vast numbers of Muslims into their country, people who are taking away housing from native born Spaniards.
The article says Spain has the strongest economy, or at least one of them, in Europe and also mentions Spain is doing well on energy, not being hurt by the diesel shortage so much because it has no fewer than eight refineries (which will wind up being closed, no doubt, if the current government remains in place). Energy is the cornerstone of Western civilization and an energy rich country will fare well but an energy poor country will floounder. Right now it's not about who has the raw materials but about who is willing to use what they have. Net Zero, the policy of reducing carbon dioxide emissions, is strangling Europe.
Still, the Europeans have their heads buried in the sand oer immigration and no doubt this article ignores it to stay out of trouble with the thugs in Brussels. It is against the law to express anti-immigrant sentiments in the European Union.
Anyway there is a real chance of restoring sanity to Spain. Let us hope the public holds that anger until the election and that the socialists don't steal the country as they are prone to do.
